VITESBK, 2 February (BelTA) - The number of payers in Vitebsk Oblast applying simplified taxation increased by almost one third in 2010, BelTA learnt from the Vitebsk oblast tax inspectorate. As of December 2010, 10,400 economic entities, including more than 4,500 legal entities applied simplified tax reporting. Around 60% of the total number of taxpayers using simplified taxation is registered in Vitebsk, Orsha and Novopolotsk. In 2010 this category of taxpayers paid more than Br130 billion in taxes to the budget, up 28% from 2009. Enterprises and organizations accounted for about 83% of the total payments. According to the tax department experts, in 2010 one organization applying simplified taxation accounted for an average of Br23.7 million of tax payments, or about Br2 million monthly, and an individual entrepreneur applying simplified taxation paid almost Br4 million, or about Br0,33 million monthly.
