Over 250 books about India donated to National Library of Belarus
The Belarusian Embassy in India has donated 250 books to the National Library of Belarus, BelTA reports.
These are over 250 books and periodicals in English, Russian and Sanskrit, popular science and reference works on India’s culture, religion, philosophy and geography.
“There is no such thing as useless knowledge. All knowledge is valuable and all means of acquiring it are essential,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India Mikhail Kasko emphasized during the ceremony.
He noted that books have always been a timeless source of knowledge and will remain so. Speaking about the growing interest in India, the ambassador highlighted that more students will want to delve deeper into the country’s history, conduct research and read not only political but also literary works in the original.
The ceremony also underscored the increasing fascination with Asian countries in Belarus. Exploring their rich heritage not only broadens horizons but also opens new avenues for international cooperation.
