The Ministry of Health spoke about the condition of the victims of the accident in the Vitebsk region

According to specialists of the Republican Center for Medical Response of the Ministry of Health, 6 people were injured as a result of an accident in the Vitebsk region.

They were hospitalized by ambulance crews. The victims were examined by ambulance specialists and sent for hospitalization to the Vitebsk Regional Hospital.

All patients were diagnosed with combined injuries - the girl (15 years old) is being transferred to the regional children's hospital for hospitalization.Doctors of the Vitebsk Regional Hospital are now conducting surgical interventions on two victims of the accident. Two more passengers with milder injuries were hospitalized in the trauma department, one in the neurosurgical department.

The accident occurred on January 7. According to preliminary information, at about one o'clock in the afternoon on the 63rd km of the M-8 highway "Border of the Russian Federation - Vitebsk - Gomel", the driver of a Volkswagen (identity is being established) lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Haval car, driven by a 54-year-old man.
