The Vitebsk oblast will put up 132 idle municipal objects for auction in 2008, BelTA learnt from Larisa Scheglova, the head of the department on auctions and contests of the Vitebsk oblast territorial fund Vitebskoblimuschestvo. The immovable property list included objects which have been unused for a long time or used inefficiently. Alongside the immovable property the auctions will provide a tenant right for the land ploys these objects occupy in line with Decree #667. The document simplifies the procedure of land allocation what is supposed to enhance the attractiveness of immovable property. The affiliated company Project Institute Vitebskgiprozem is completing the list of land plots. Vitebskoblimuschestvo, with an approval of local authorities, will determine the date of the auctions. Today the Vitebsk oblast has 1133 municipal realty objects that are to be involved in the economy by selling, leasing or reshaping. If a company is going to implement an investment project, which has passed the state expertise, it can be sold this object without competition or given it for free use. According to Vitebskoblimuschestvo, some 167 oblast municipal objects were involved in the economy in 2007. Of them 51 objects were sold for Br6.1 billion, 45 were auctioned for Br6.8 billion, 71 objects were assigned free of charge to juridical persons.
