When will the work on the frescoes in the Transfiguration Church in Polotsk be completed?

 

By the end of 2024, restoration work on the frescoes in the Transfiguration Church in Polotsk will be completed. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

The area of the frescoes is 1000 m2. In total, 93% of the frescoes have already been revealed. Restoration work in the upper reaches to a three-meter height has been completed.

Now specialists are working on the lower sections and bringing everything into an exposition form. At the same time, work is underway on the facades of the temple - it remains only to improve the area around it.
