Who is entitled to family capital and when?

– In accordance with paragraph 3 of the Regulations on the provision of family capital at birth (adoption) in 2020 - 2024 of the third or subsequent children, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 345 of September 18, 2019 “On family capital”, the right to assign it has a mother in a complete family, a parent in a single-parent family at the birth from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 of a third or subsequent children, if, taking into account the born child (children), at least three children under the age of 18 are being raised in the family - answers Chief Specialist of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee Elena Kharkevich. – When determining the right to assign family capital, the composition of the family is determined as of the date of birth of the third or subsequent children, at whose birth the family acquired the right to assign family capital.

Since one of the children has already reached the age of majority at the time of the birth of the third child, the family in question does not have the right to assign family capital.
