Cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the high-tech sector of the economy opens a new milestone in the industry. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of Belarus Yuri Chebotar on the ONT TV channel , BELTA reports.

“Both on our side and on the Russian side we see an increase in exports. On the part of the Republic of Belarus, the maximum export volumes are for the second year in a row. We are significantly increasing our presence (which makes us very happy) in high-tech industries, in mechanical engineering. Last year, our share in Russian imports reached 9%,” said Yuri Chebotar.

According to the minister, Belarusian and Russian enterprises confirm their high competitiveness. “We are ready to enter new foreign markets together,” he emphasized. “A decree on technological operations has been signed. In fact, we are giving the start to a new, let’s say, milestone in industry through mutual recognition and mutual penetration of the most high-tech industries.”

Speaking about digitalization, Yuri Chebotar recalled that a number of decisions have been made to create joint digital products in the field of tax, customs regulation, phytosanitary control, etc. In the future, this will further increase trade turnover, he is sure.
