Belarusian defense minister, Chinese ambassador discuss military cooperation

 

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan in Minsk on 18 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

The parties stressed the importance of further strengthening the bilateral relations in military sector. Belarus and China maintain an all-weather and all-round strategic partnership in this area. At the meeting, Viktor Khrenin emphasized Belarus and China see eye-to-eye on the main issues on the international agenda. Belarus and China regularly exchange high-level visits, which contribute to strategic dialogue. Active work is also underway to promote the relations at the expert level.

The parties discussed ways to further Belarusian-Chinese military cooperation in the main areas both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
