Preparation of schools for the start of the new school year will take place differently, Education Minister Andrei Ivanets said at the final board meeting of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, BelTA reports.

A year-round correspondence Olympiad for schoolchildren is planned to be introduced in Belarus starting next year.

“On instructions from the head of state, this year it (preparing schools for the start of the new school year - BELTA) will take place in a new way. In fact, already in April, each school will have a status certificate. After this, each school will have the opportunity, together with the district executive committees to carry out all the necessary preparatory work in order to sign a passport of readiness in August. These commissions will include representatives of all structures that ensure the safety of our children in schools," said Andrei Ivanets.

Graduates of engineering classes will be able to enter the corresponding specialties at universities without exams

He expressed confidence that such an early algorithm for monitoring the condition of schools will ensure their readiness at the highest level by September 1.
