Lukashenko sends professional day greetings to transport troops

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the personnel and veterans of the Transport Troops as the country celebrates Railway Troops Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The glorious traditions of Belarusian military railway personnel are closely linked to the history of the first specialized military units, established in Baranovichi 150 years ago. At every stage of the railway troops’ formation and development, they have been distinguished by high combat readiness, dedication, and perseverance of their personnel,” the message of greetings reads. “The valor, resilience, and heroism of the railway troops shone especially brightly during the Great Patriotic War, as well as during the construction and restoration of steel highways in the post-war period.”

The head of state noted that today, within the Transport Troops, Belarusian military railway personnel continue the courageous legacy of the victorious generation with honor, successfully mastering new types of weapons and equipment, and continuously improving the transport support system for the Armed Forces and civilian infrastructure.

“I am confident that you will continue to do everything possible to strengthen our country’s defense capability and ensure high troop mobility, effectively tackling the most challenging tasks,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The president thanked the military railway personnel for their service and wished them good health, peace, happiness, wellbeing, and continued success for the benefit of their native Belarus.
